Basics of PhotographyLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The students will learn about the operation of the camera, being able to choose appropriate camera settings for a given situation, and also to use a camera in manual mode, and to manipulate the lighting when necessary. The students will understand the benefits of a 16-bit image file, and shoot in raw format and edit the image. The students will also be able to assess their own images and edit them when necessary, for example to change colours and tones. The students will learn to optimise images depending on the environment in which they will be used.

Student has command of core course content and tools and programs used. Student passes the assignments. Student participates actively in classes.

In addition to the good level student is able to apply the skills acquired and has completed course assignments with excellent quality.
