Drawing, Painting and CompositionLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Students will learn to make observations about form, colour and composition, and to express themselves visually. They will learn about drawing and painting tools and their use. The students will learn the commonest basic techniques of drawing, painting and composition, and to express themselves in a number of ways utilising a range of materials and techniques. The students will also set targets for visual expression and evaluate them.

- Application of information, observation and visual skills using various drawing tools.
- Use of the line as a means of expression
- Improving observation and expression by means of various painting techniques
- Colour theory and composition as part of a picture’s structure
- Image analyses

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
