Objective
The students will learn the factual and ethical requirements of doing their thesis, being able to define the research topic and select appropriate research methods to solve the problem. The students can apply key media theories and research methods in their own work so that the theoretical frame of reference, methods, material and conclusions interact meaningfully also improving their information acquisition methods and being able to use databases available in the field, and other sources of data. The students will learn to be critical about the sources they use, to use proper referencing, and make a summary and an English-language abstract of their thesis. The students will be able to assess their own abilities, argue the choices they make and to fluently reflect on their learning process and to give constructive criticism on other students’ performance. Moreover, they will be able to report and present their thesis.
