Objective
Students are familiar with communications and marketing tools, best practices, and the opportunities offered by social media. Students understand how communications and marketing opportunities relate to a musician and pedagogue, and are able to communicate with a high level of skill that reflects their professionalism e.g. by utilising different media to present their own job description and/or their thesis.
Content
Sales and marketing: who, to whom, how, why? Marketing planning and implementation. Personal websites and social media. Oral and written communication and communication exercises in different media. The course includes a collaborative concert ensemble production.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Evaluation focuses on course work, knowledge acquired by the end of the course and achievement of the course objectives.
