Aim/ Objective
The course will give both theoretical knowledge and practical exercises of preventive conservation connected to changing environmental conditions.

Content
The course deals both with the building physics questions (passive / active climatization; moisture and heat transfer; air pollution control; energy use and sustainability) and with the conservational concerns (temperature and humidity controlled deterioration rates; impact of room climate on collection; air pollution attack; preservation index and similar measures).
Lectures of building physics and preventive conservation are combined with student exercises and presentations.
