Basics in Pattern DesignLaajuus (4 ECTS)

Objective

The students will understand the relationship between the figure and the pattern and learn to compare draping with the patterns. The further focus is on how the measurements are recognized from the chart and how the patterns affect the way the garment fits.

Content

Basic models for women are draped on the dummy and special attention is paid for the details. Flat pattern work and comparing the results with the shaped patterns are made.
