Swedish at WorkLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Students will acquire functional language skills required for communication in Swedish in service and business contexts and for development of their professional skills. Emphasis will be laid on interacting with customers, conducting business, and producing and managing services. Students will also learn to find information in Swedish and write basic professional texts in Swedish. They will gain a positive and realistic view of their own proficiency in the language and will later be able to improve their Swedish skills independently.

Work environment and society: workplace/organisation, products, services, functions, processes
Professional texts and terminology
Communication situations: company/service/product presentations, telephone conversations, trade fairs, other interaction with customers
