Objective

Upon completion the student will master the vital methods and norms of expert communication. The student will master data collection, analyzing and data assignation. The student is able to verify his/her professional development and is able to phrase his/her skills both written, visually and orally.The student will be able to act accordingly and ingeniously in interpersonal communication and communication situations in working life.

Content

Basic features of written communication:

-writing a document, text layout
-writing in relation to studying and learning: a report, journal, summary, portfolio, essay and exam answers
-basics of data collection methods, data sources
-Web writing basics
-verifying own skills

Basics of oral communication (both individuals and groups) and basic communication situations in working life:

-how to plan and visualize the speaking situations: presentation, seminar work and peer evaluation
-negotiation and meeting practises, conflict situations
-customer community
-project work and team work
-basics of internal and external information
-professional literacy, media monitoring and designing handouts
-argumentation skills
