Theatre History 2Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Students are introduced to contemporary Western theatre (i.e., key phenomena in modern theatre in the twentieth century in Europe and the United States). The course also provides a glance at modern musicals and dance theatre, as well as other forms of performing arts.

Content

Lecture series and independent study of key plays of different styles. Knowledge of lecture content and covered plays is assessed in two exams.
