Objective

The student learns to draw and read a lighting plot. The student also learns to apply the information contained in lighting documentation to the performance logistics of theatres and international concerts and visiting performances.

Content

The course covers the symbols used in lighting plots in theatre as well as other kinds of performances (concerts and visiting performances). The student learns to apply the information contained in a lighting plot to the time, space and staff requirements involved in setting up and taking down a performance. Producing lighting documentation in English is also covered. The course includes both theoretical lectures and practical exercises. The course is partly conducted in English, which constitutes a part of professional English studies.
