Objective

The student has achieved competence with which he or she is able to create dynamic web pages using external data sources. Student is able to make difference between the structure, the content and the style of a web page. The student understand the basics of image processing and video editing as well as the terminology and concepts of the digital media. The student is able to work as a member of a project team, taking into account the specific features of various communication situations, as well as use communication to develop his or her professional skills. The student knows the basics of engineering mathematics and physics,

Content

- HTML, CSS
- JavaScript: procedural programming (variables, control structures and ja data structures)
- Interaction between web page and JavaScript code, document object model (DOM)
- Asynchronous communication (AJAX) and external interfaces (API), JSON
- Basics of image processing and video editing, terminology
- Image file formats, video formats, compression
- Project documentation and communication skills
- Basics of engineering mathematics and physics. The contents of 1st year mathematics and physics are:
* Mathematics: basics of algebra, functions, vectors, matrices
* Physics: mechanics, electricity, oscillations and wave

Students have achieved the course objectives satisfactorily. Students are able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. Students are familiar with the principles of project documentation.Students understand the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Students have achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas. Students are able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. Students understand the importance of fluent communication for his or her professional development. The student is able to study and work as a member of a project team, as well as to create major project documents. Students are able to apply their knowledge in study and work situations. Students understand the importance of expertise in the field of information and communication technology and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students have achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. Students master commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models. Students are able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. Students understand the importance of communication for collaboration, is able to communicate appropriately in a situation, create any necessary project documents and apply his or her communication skills to develop his or her own expertise. Students are well prepared to apply their knowledge in study and work situations. Students are able to analyze the information and communication technology sector expertise and the development of their own expertise.
