Objective
The students can identify the mainstreams of the historical development in live performance productions and performing arts. They understand the connection between the current live performance production its earlier history. The students can outline the main features of past live performance productions to the present day. They can critically evaluate the present state of their field and future aspects with respect to history. The students know the key concepts of dramaturgy and can recognize dramaturgical structures from the texts and other materials and performances. They can analyze the performance as a whole as well as the technical sections in the context of live performance engineering.

The course requires at least 80% attendance. The procedure for replacing the absence is agreed with the teacher in charge of the course unit. The schedule of the course can be found in Lukkari. All parts of the course must be completed successfully.
