European Management (EM) degree programme

International degree programmes offer students an excellent opportunity to
experience living, studying and working in another European country. Studying in
a multinational classroom in an international atmosphere both in Finland and the
partner institution also contributes to personal growth. Lecturers at home and
abroad represent a variety of business and cultural backgrounds and will bring
many different methodological approaches to the classroom.
Students will gain essential core competencies in business administration such as
marketing, finance, human resource management and business communication.
Combining theory with practical skills is at the heart of the methodology and our
courses emphasise interpersonal and intercultural communication skills required
by the global business world of today.
European Management (EM)
The University of Lincoln
Studies
The four-year programme leads to a double degree and involves studying in both
Finland and England and includes a 6-month placement. The first two years of
studies are in Finland; the third year in Lincoln (England) and the final year is a
combination of placement and dissertation, which is cross-read by the University
of Lincoln.
The majority of the teaching on the EM programme is in English but some courses
are lectured in Finnish. Therefore, students need a good knowledge and command
of the Finnish language. After two years of generic business education, EM
students have the opportunity to select options or majors in the University of
Lincoln and thus specialise in their chosen field.
Award
On successful completion of the programme you will receive a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied
Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from The University of Lincoln.
