Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
With regard to the recognition and accreditation of acquired competencies, The Master´s Degree programme in Cultural Management adheres to the following principles: Transfer of credit is possible when the student has completed studies generating similar competencies at some other higher education. The thesis cannot be completed by demonstration. The thesis also does not earn credit for another degree.

Profile of the programme
Programme focuses on strategic leadership and management of creative processes, as well as the related collaborative development competence, futures´ thinking competence and interactive management of services. Personal study plans are tailored for each student.
Key learning outcomes
- Competence in strategic leadership, management and researchbased development
o Students can analyse the development of their own work and operating environment from an international perspective. In addition, they learn to develop creative processes. They learn to build their expert identity as leaders of collaborative development work, and to apply the methods of strategic planning.
- Competence on interactive productization of services
o Students can assess the needs of various customer groups and users for culture-based services, and to use different types of models in service production. produce information that benefits the party commissioning the project and the field in general.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
Masters in Arts Management are experts who make cultural projects possible. They are responsible for planning, leading and developing of a cultural event or service. Typical work occupations focus on development of production processes in co-operation with many actors in an international network. Many works cultural and leisure organisations, public sector cultural occupations and cultural entrepreneurs.

Core skills and competences are produced through four competence streams. Each areas of competence consist of several areas of specialization and deepening of ones skills.
