Pattern Making for Light ClothingLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

After the course, the students can:
• recognize the measurement points needed when making patterns for the female body
• make patterns for well-fitting products.
• shape different products for women’s light clothing.
• apply the methods and processes of the clothing industry when planning the garment.
• apply knowledge when identifying a high-quality garment.
• use problem solving, community and interactive skills in a product team when developing and making decisions with respect to the product.

Content

Making patterns and having women’s light clothing manufactured using alternative industrial methods. Making high-quality garments as team work.

Qualifications

Prerequisites: Basics of Pattern Making.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students have partly met the goals of the course. They have taken part in team work and have completed assignments.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students have reached the goals of the course and completed the assignments of the course. They can utilize their know-how in the product team and complete their share of tasks in the team appropriately.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students have reached the goals of the course with a distinction. They can apply their knowledge in team work with respect to the assignments. They carry out their team work duties with distinction and develop communal teamwork in a professional way.
