Development
The learning outcomes of the degree programme have been identified together with experts in the field (The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries, Supply Chain Management Forum), and their views have been taken into account in structuring the curriculum. The structure of the studies has been refined with the central union in the field, the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY).
The successful planning of the studies from the viewpoint of the learning targets are reviewed with the feedback during the studies. Feedback will be collected from teachers during the programme and from the students during their studies and after them.
The curriculum of the programme starting in autumn 2012 has been revised based on the feedback from students, the structure has been clarified, and the choices to the range available leading to a Master’s degree programmes has been added.
The message from the advisory board of the Business School regarding the need for education in supply chain management as well as the preparation of a tender in autumn 2010 of an apprenticeship-type training for high-educated people gave both a good basis for the revision of the curriculum of the programme that was started two years ago.
