Descriptions

The postgraduate polytechnic degree programme in social services is working life oriented, enhancing and deepening one's competences as well as developing professional life. Studies are intended for those who have completed the polytechnic degree in social services or an applicable polytechnic degree with at least three years' working experience within social services.

The extent of studies is 90 ECTS credits, and it takes 1,5 years to graduate. Teaching is arranged on the premises of Tukholmankatu and Sofianlehto at Metropolia. The qualification titles are Master of Social Services and Master of Health Care and Social Services (Geriatric Nurse).

Objectives

The purpose of the studies is to provide the students with the competence in development and leadership of professional life as well as with theoretical and practical skills in tasks demanding expertise.
