Opintosuorituksia ja arviointia koskevat säännöt
Opintosuoritusten arviointimenetelmät määritellään opintojen toteutussuunnitelmassa. Arvioinnista vastaa opintosuorituksen toteutuksesta vastaava opettaja. Opiskelijan tulee saada opintosuorituksen alkaessa tiedot arvioinnin perusteista, joiden tulee pohjautua opintosuorituksen tavoitteisiin. Arviointi tapahtuu pääsääntöisesti opintojaksoittain ja tehdään niille opiskelijoille, jotka ovat ilmoittautuneet ja jotka on hyväksytty opintojaksolle. Opintosuorituksen mahdolliset osasuoritukset voidaan tarvittaessa arvioida erikseen. Opettaja voi toteutussuunnitelmassa esitetyissä arviointiperusteissa ilmoittaa osasuoritusten voimassaolosta.

Arviointiasteikko on seuraava: kiitettävä (5), erittäin hyvä (4), hyvä (3), erittäin tyydyttävä (2), tyydyttävä (1), hylätty (0) ja hyväksytty (H). Arviointiasteikosta poikkeamisista päättää rehtori.

Opetussuunnitelman kehittäminen ja työelämäyhteistyö

Tuotantotalouden koulutusohjelman neuvottelukunta (Teknologiateollisuus, Nokia/NSN, SAP, Tieto, INEX, Metso ja Deloitte) ja tuotantotalouden koulutusohjelma ovat yhdessä laatineet tuotantotalouden Master’s-koulutuksen opetussuunnitelman ja kompetenssimatriisin työelämän kansainvälisestä tarpeesta ja osaamisvaatimuksista lähtien. Vuosittainen palaute ja toimintatapojen päivitys ohjaa ohjelman toteutusta. Osaamisperustainen näkökulma näkyy muun muassa projekti- ja osaamisen näyttöperustaisuuden lisääntymisenä opetussuunnitelmassa. Opetusteknologiaa hyödynnetään mm. osa videoimalla osa opetusta opiskelijoiden etäopetuksen käyttöön. Master’s-työt tehdään 90%-sesti yritysten liiketoimintahaasteiden ratkaisemiseksi.

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning

Students have the right to apply for the recognition of prior learning. The recognition is based on the skills of the student regardless of the ways the fore mentioned expertise has been acquired. The student has the responsibility to demonstrate the skills required in the study objectives and to provide the required information and documentation based on which the decision for approval will be made.

Profile of the programme

Master of Engineering is a one-year polytechnic degree that can be completed after a four-year first-cycle polytechnic degree. Master of Industrial Management degree produces the same competence to public office as the Master’s degree. The extent of the degree is 60 ECTS credits.

Key learning outcomes

The aim of the Master's degree is to prepare the student for advanced specialist tasks in international business surroundings in the field of management with a service focus. The degree provides a student a solid knowledge basis in managing service focused businesses, an ability to conduct applied research projects following good academic practices, information acquisition skills, adaptation of new knowledge, the latest knowledge in necessary areas of today’s management.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples

A graduate in Master of Industrial Management works in advanced specialist tasks in the field of service focused ICT, management, supply chains, sales and marketing focusing on using modern tools and methods in Finland and abroad. A graduate works for example in in advanced specialist tasks or management positions in businesses.

Access to further studies

Master of Engineering degree is currently the highest degree-level in universities of applied sciences in the field of technology in Finland.

Graduation requirements

A student is eligible to graduate when he/she has completed all the required courses set for the degree as a present student (extent 60 ECTS credits).

Mode of study

Studies are implemented as courses, course modules or projects. Studies include contact teaching and self-study. Studies aiming towards a degree are implemented as part-time studies.
