The main educational aim of the Master's degree is to prepare you for advanced specialist tasks in international engineering surroundings in telecommunications and software industries. Master´s degree gives you the latest knowledge in a specialised area of information technology by giving you the following competencies:
* The latest knowledge in a chosen Specialisation Option
* Ability to conduct applied research projects
* Information acquisition skills and adaptation of new knowledge
* The latest knowledge in advanced programming
* Problem-solving skills
Development
The master level curriculum and learning goals of the Media Engineering major in Information Technology have been monitored by the Advisory Council of Media Technology degree programme. The pedagogical application is according the needs of media industy and business.
It has been considered that master level students are experienced in working life in media or information technology. Their motivation for studies will be kept on by offering an upgrade in the most recent technologies, research methodology and development paradigm. After completion the master course they are capable to conduct higher level projects for the benefit of their employer´s strategy, which particular process may be already implemented in the Master Thesis work.
