Objective

After this course the student can:
- utilize the 3D cad models for designing the production systems and for creating the NC toolpaths
- do complicated machining programs for CNC machines

Content

Use of 3D models in designing production methods, solid modelling, surface modelling, communication between CAD and CAM programs, creation of machine toolpaths for 2-, 3- and 5 axis milling, creating toolpaths for lathes, simulation, post processing and transferring the toolpaths to machine tools, running the toolpaths .
