Objective

On completion of the course the student will understand spatial data management and the importance of spatial data related databases. The student will understand the usability of spatial databases. He or she will be able to create a simple relational spatial database and participate in the development and maintenance of a spatial data system.

The student is able to create a simple relational spatial database, use queries to retrieve data and visualize the results.
