Objective

The course improves general abilities to study engineering skills. The aim is that the students with different educational backgrounds in Physics gain sufficient knowledge and skills necessary for studying Engineering applications.

This course yields understanding and mastering of SI units; the student knows how to derive quantities and units covered by Engineering applications. Problem solving strategies for basic problems encountered in Engineering problems are essential learning outcomes of this course. Graphical tools in mechanics. Vectors in mechanics problem solving.

Content

The course covers SI units covered by Engineering studies, basics of trigonometric relationships, basic vector calculus, problem solving in skills, graphical presentation and significant figures. During classes, problems in the fields of Engineering Physics are worked out. Vector calculus.
