Objective

Students will learn about the principles of clothing design and construct a clothing collection from the women swear point of view. Students are required to submit a collection portfolio. The aim of the course is also to provide the students with information about the tasks and duties of a clothing designer.

Content

- Grounds for the planning and design of the piece of clothing collection
- Introducing clothing collections in retailing, different textile and clothing businesses and their business activities, tasks and duties of clothing designer
- A small-scale women's collection for a chosen target group by using materials which are agreed upon with the group
- One piece from the collection will be crafted and assessed
- Assignments, excursions, customer interviews. Designing the collection in a format agreed
- Presenting the collection, group assessment
