Objective

Learning objectives:

The student explores the skills in individual problem-solving and theoretical thinking. He/she acquires information about the basics of applied research in design. The student gets familiarized with the social, technological and economical factors in design process. The student knows how to apply the theoretical basis and models in practical design processes and is able to search for information by using research methods for his/her design process.

Content

Core content:

-The concepts of design, theoretical production plan models as well as processes
-Theoretical basis and concepts in design
-basics of applied research in design
-importance of ecological, manufacturing technical and business economical principles in design
-how to apply theory into professional practice
