Objective

Students recognise the individual needs of different children and young people in different age groups as a basis for educational work. Students know methods applicable to early childhood and special education.

Content

Methods supporting communication and interaction, e.g. play, using stories and narratives, pictorial and object communication. Supporting the everyday lives of children and young people. Methods of physical, musical and visual education used in early childhood and special education.

Qualifications

Most of the study units of the Basic Studies and Work Placement 1 must be completed. Early Childhood Education or Working with People with Special Needs and Disabilities
