Objective

Students understand the meaning of a community and communitarianism for a human being. Students know methods of community work and networking and learn to utilise communal resources in socio-pedagogical work. Students know the traditions and trends of working with therapeutic and pedagogical communities.

Content

Concepts of community and communitarianism in the past, now and in the future. The traditions and challenges of community work and working with networks in the capital city area. Using pedagogical and therapeutic communities as forms of community work.

Qualifications

Most of the study units of the Basic Studies and Work Placement 1 must be completed.
