Objective

Students know the core concepts and goals of special education. Students become familiar with the rehabilitation process and living environment of people with disabilities.
Students understand the importance of multiprofessional teamwork in special education and at work with people with disabilities. Students learn to support service users' life management, functional capacity and everyday skills.

Content

Core principles of special education and its organisation. Service provision for people with special needs and disabilities. Experiencing disability. Individual learning plan. Rehabilitation process and work orientation. Learning disabilities as an example of people with disabilities. Assessment methods.
