Objective
The student is able to assess the importance of the oral health care environment for the child and his/her family. S/he can justify the importance of family-centred nursing for children's oral care. S/he is able to assess the phase of development of the child and the adolescent and its importance to oral health. S/he is able to assess the effect of intoxicants on oral health. S/he can distinguish milk teeth from permanent teeth. S/he can evaluate the time for teeth eruption in the first and second phase of change. S/he recognizes normal occlusion. S/he is able to distinguish occlusional anomalies from normal occlusion. S/he is able to define the child's oral health and to assess the possible need for treatment.
