Basic x-ray training at the UASLaajuus (7 ECTS)

Objective

The students will be able to develop their professional expertise in radiography in primary health care. The student will learn the basic skills to perform the commonest basic x-ray examinations independently. The students will also learn about the principles of basic x-ray imaging.

Qualifications

Introduction to radiography and radiotherapy treatment environment,
Drug treatment and clinical care

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students are able to conduct the commonest basic x-ray examinations under guidance. They understand the basics of imaging and quality assurance. The students are able to assess the quality of images in the commonest basic x-ray examinations. The students pass the skills test taken at the UAS.
