Objective

On completion of the course the student will be able to:
- determine the material properties of concrete
- consider the effects of time dependent material factors on the behavior of a structure
- compare reinforcements in different structures
- determine the stress category of a structure
- understand the requirements of minimum amount of reinforcing steel

- calculate the principal and shear reinforcement of a bended reinforced concrete beam
- draw up reinforcement lists according to structural drawings
- draw the reinforcement diagram of a reinforced concrete beam
