Descriptions
Degree Programme in Health Informatics directs the engineering towards the practice of human well being and welfare applications. The programme is highly application-oriented, starting from human well being. The students are encouraged to interest in working with various social contacts but also with emphasis of realisable possibilities of applying new technology.
The technical starting point is Information and Communications Technology and the possible applications are e.g. remote diagnostics, -monitoring, and patient information systems. Basics of electronics, mechanics and design help to realize new applications for disabled persons.
Foundations of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and patient care are introduced. The welfare technology engineer develops health care systems, devices and new services in a multi-disciplinary teams.
The work prospects of this specialisation look very promising in the near coming years.
Development
Opetussuunnitelma laadittu yhdessä Tietotekniikan ko kanssa ja sen NK tietoinen OPS08:sta. OPS09 on opintojaksotasolla sama mutta rakennetta muokattu, kuvauksia päivitetty TiVi/HyTo klustereiden kanssa yhdessä.
OPS10 ja OPS11 ovat yhdenmukaiset OPS09 kanssa. Ohjelmaa kehitetään täsmentämällä opintojaksokuvauksia ja ajoitusta, mutta ei rakennetta.
Koulutusohjelmalla ei ole vielä erillistä Neuvottelukuntaa.
