Control Systems and FieldbusesLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student knows how to use and program a programmable logic controller (plc). He/she can design simple control systems and connect sensors and actuators to plc.The student knows the most common fielbus systems and their application areas.

Content

PLC programming using IEC 61131 standard and practising sensor and actuator wiring. A team project is done using one fieldbus system. A lot of laboratory exercises is included in the course.
