Objective

The student will know the meaning of a derivative function. The student will be able to derive basic functions. The student will be able to make the linearization and error estimate of a real-valued function.

Content

The analytic derivation of basic functions. Elementary curve sketching using a derivative test. The theory on maxima and minima. Functions with one, two and three variables and derivation.
The linearization and error estimate of a real-valued function.
