Objective

Understanding of the phases and working methods of information systems development process. Understanding of the needs for information systems management and development in organizations. Knowledge of some programming and systems design tools. Familarity with project management and control in small projects.

Ability to plan and implement application development projects and participate in systems design as a user representative or project member. Familarity with some of the tools needed in software development such as data base design tools, spreadsheet programs or web development tools.

Systems development life cycle (SLDC) and application development methods
Project management phases, documentation and tools
Information system documentation: technical descriptions and user instructions
Software design and programming principles
Definition and planning of application development projects
Development of an application using Web –based collaborative tools
Team working skills.
