Objective
The student understands the concepts of heat transfer and fluid mechanics of this course, so that s/he can solve key problems of the area, use her/his knowledge in later studies and future occupations.

The student is able to qualitatively define or describe the concepts and phenomena related to the topics and s/he can make simple, straightforward calculations.

1. The student can explain the meaning of fluid dynamics and heat transfer in processes.
2. The student identifies the components of fluid and heat transfer systems and can explain their effects on the function of the system.
3. The student can solve multistage problems in flow and heat transfer systems and can dimension pieces of equipment.

1. The student can explain the properties of different types of fluids and estimate their effect on processes.
2. The student can apply his/her know-how about fluid and heat transfer on process and product development.
3. The student can evaluate the function of complex fluid and heat transfer systems and dimension pieces of equipment in them.
