After completing this course the student is familiar with the basics of control engineering and its applications.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

After completing these studies the student is familiar with modeling basics. He/she knows how to analyze step response data as well as calculate reasonable parameters to PID-controller. He/she also knows how to design PID-controller and analyze its performance.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

After completing these studies the student knows the behavior of PID-controller. He/She can calculate reasonable parameters to PID-controller. He/She also knows how to design PID-controller and analyze its performance.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

After completing these studies the student is capable of applying PID-control in process environment. He/She also knows how to design optimized PID-controller and analyze its performance during operations.
