The student learns the basic skills required for choir conducting and gains facilities for studying Choir Conducting 2.

- basics of beating technique and rehearsing, using means such as video recording
- fundamental principles of voice instruction
- analysing and playing a choral score
- introduction to analytic listening
- using a tuning fork
- rehearsing and conducting five works from the practice repertoire
