Analysis Workshop, Modern MusicLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student is introduced to 20th century compositions representing different trends and learns to associate them with the cultural and social environment of their time, as well as observe them in relation to the tradition of Western music.

Content

The studies are of a project nature. The student goes into analysis of a musical work under the guidance of the analysis teacher and into the historical environment of the work through different points of view under the guidance of the history teacher.
