Fictional Film 2: Pre-Production / SoundLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

Students hone their professional, specialist knowledge in the pre-production of of a short film. They can take into consideration the requirements of advanced production technology, film equipment and expression from the perspective of sound design and production.

Students apprehend the essence of extended workflow and can foresee the consequences of their choice. They can design and produce a fictional short film using equipment that is not university property. Students command process of technical and content designing.

• various paths of sound production
• a more profound understanding of the job descriptions of the sound crew
• technical and artistic responsibility as part of the overall responsibility for sound production
• supervision of the work of the sound crew
• communication between different specialist crews

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Completing the course with a pass grade requires that a student has met the objectives of the course as defined in the course implementation.
