Objective

The student will learn about the basics of the history of illustration, the key concepts and techniques, and can make illustrations in different kinds of publications. The students will learn to analyse images and illustrations and the communicative and expressive potential of colours, and be able to use them in their work.

- Colour theory and composition
- Image analysis
- Illustrator’s tools and techniques
- Different styles of illustration
- Illustration with photos
- Image editing and colour adjustment

Student
- participates classes in required extent
- completes given assignments acceptably
- understands core content of the course

- participates classes actively
- completes given assignments independently and showing self-direction
- returns assignments in time
