Basics of Graphic DesignLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The students will learn to use the concepts of graphic design and typography and understand the specific requirements of different graphic products. They will also be able to communicate by means of images, text and their combinations and use professional drawing and design programs to put their graphic design skills into practice.

- Key concepts of graphic design
- Foundations of typographical history, and the general laws of typography
- Communicating through image and text
- Basics of drawing and design programs

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Student has command of core course content and programs used. Student passes the assignments. Student has participated actively in classes.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the satisfactory level student has completed course assignments in time and with good quality.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the good level student is able to apply the skills acquired and has completed course assignments with excellent quality.
