History of Performing Arts 2, Proseminar and MethodologyLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

In the proseminar, students write papers and complete other assignments independently, but under the supervision of the proseminar leader. The topics focus on the current phenomena and practices of the theatre and other form of performing arts. Students learn to analyze and discuss their own work in performing arts and acquire methods and skills to work independently.

Content

Students participate in proseminar meetings, complete a paper and practical assignment relating to the history or current practices of performing arts and present their work in the seminar. Students are introduced to the methods of information search, progressive inquiry and use of references.
