Theatre History 3, Pro Seminar, Research Methods and ResourcesLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Students demonstrate their knowledge in one area of theatre history. The proseminar also trains students for their final project. The themes of the course focus on new phenomena in theatre and in the performing arts, as well as their development in Finland. The students acquire skills and methods needed in independent work.

Content

Independent student essays and presentations supervised by the teacher. Each student prepares an essay and an oral presentation demonstrating knowledge in the area selected from the themes of the proseminar. The students become familiar with information search methods, exploratory learning, and the use of sources.
