Objective
Students recognize, become conscious of, and are able to choose perspectives into working in the community. Students know how to use multidisciplinary methods as part of investigative and performative work. They deepen their understanding of the artist’s role at service of the community and know how collaborate with various communities and organisations.
Content
The course covers the philosophy and ethics of community art as well as various issues of public art. How can an artist face topical issues of the community and the underlying circumstances? How can an artist serve the community or work in the community using strategies of art? Social media, urban art and other interventions in the public space from the perspective of an artist’s freedom, responsibility and serving the community. Focusing on the ethics of dialogical art. Personal affect transforms into communal effect.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students
1) participate in classes and complete the assigned tasks and practical training
2) recognizes the full scope in which drama instructors can work in various communities
3) can interact with the members of a community of their choice
4) understands the course content concerning community art and the concept of a community

Students
1) commit to classwork and complete the assignments and practical training in the given schedule
2) interact with the members of a community of their choice
3) receive and take in feedback on their assignments and practical training given by their instructors and partners
4) understands the course contents and applies them into practice
5) assess their own contribution and the contribution of other in community work

Students
1) show responsibility in tuition and community work and interact constructively with the community, fellow students and instructores
2) design a participatory entity in interaction with a community or an organization
3) employ investigative and performative methods in community work and applies them in practice
4) assess their own contribution as well as the contribution of others in community work and they improve their own practices
