Stagecraft SystemsLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student becomes familiar with stagecraft systems, equipment, and their operational principles. The student also gains an overview of different stage spaces and the different elements of stagecraft, and learns to utilise them in a meaningful way as a part of stage operations and performance logistics.

Content

The course covers stage operations from a technical point of view. The students are introduced to all parts of stagecraft systems, above and below stage machinery, revolving stages, hydraulics, lighting and scenery bars, brake systems, and the basics of rigging. The course is completed through a practical project assignment.
