Objective

The student becomes familiar with sound production planning, sound documentation, the archiving of sound documents, and archiving systems.

Content

The course covers the symbols used in sound documentation in theatre as well as other forms of performance (concerts and visiting performances). The student learns to apply the data of sound documents to the time, space, and staff related needs of setting up and taking down a performance. The student also learns to produce sound system level and performance level sound documentation in English and to archive sound documents. The course includes both theoretical lectures and practical exercises. The course is partly conducted in English, which constitutes a part of professional English studies.
