Sound MixingLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student becomes familiar with the techniques and applications of sound mixing in different spaces and contexts. The student learns to use sound mixing in a performance. The student also understands the principles of public address and acoustics.

Content

The course covers sound mixing in theatre, concerts, and other kinds of performance contexts. The students learn to adjust mixing to the actor´s voice and the performing space in theatre work and to the requirements of different types of music and acoustics in concerts. The course includes both theoretical lectures and exercises that can be carried out in cooperation with the specialisation option of Theatre and Drama.
