Objective
Students are capable of self-directed study and are committed to their learning community and social service studies. They can create and maintain interactive relationships which promote their own and community learning. Students are able to reflect on their skills based on the professional competence areas of social pedagogy. They know how to analyse and develop their work. They can evaluate their professional knowledge of social services and enhance their societal competence. Students are capable of forming partnerships between education and the workplace environment. As professionals, they represent the social services sector in an outstanding manner.

Phases of professional growth and reflection. Social pedagogy according to Madsen. Development towards responsible and self-guided studying. Drawing up study plans. Dealing with studies, learning, professional growth and career development individually and in small groups throughout the studies. Fostering the development of becoming professionals in social services.

Students master professional concepts, and they justify their choices using the comprehensive knowledge base, based on the client’s needs. Students assess systematically the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.

Students work according to professional ethics as well as commit themselves to the group, enhancing its functioning.
