Objective

Students reflect on their own learning experiences and therapeutic relationships with clients through the philosophy and theories of occupational therapy. Students are willing to reflect on their work through clinical reasoning. Students familiarise themselves with current theoretical trends and professional discourse in occupational therapy. Students become familiar with the current situation and future of occupational therapy in both national and international terms.

Clinical reasoning
International trends in occupational therapy
Future prospects of occupational therapy
Reflection on learning experiences in terms of the development of occupational therapy
Consepts of occupation, environment, occupational therapists and client in different historical times
Occupational deprivation and occupational justice

Qualifications

Introduction to the Philosophy and History of Occupational Therapy
Most of the studies in the Occupation theme completed
At least one long period of Work Placement completed
