Objective

Students are familiar with the legislation, national and international programmes and recommendations on sexual and reproductive health promotion.
They perceive what is meant by sexual health services and how they are organised in Finland.
Students identify development targets for promoting sexual and reproductive health of people of different ages.
They know and are able to use the work methods of sexual and reproductive health in various operating environments.

Cultural and social dimension of sexuality
Service systems promoting sexual and reproductive health
Methods for promoting health and sexual health
Topical questions concerning the sexual and reproductive health of people of different ages

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students are familiar with the legislation, national and international programmes and recommendations of sexual and reproductive health.
Students perceive what is meant by sexual health services and how they are organised in Finland.
Students are familiar with the methods for promoting health and sexual health and know how to use them in various operating environments.
Students identify development targets for promoting sexual and reproductive health of people of different ages.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to describe and report the legislation, national and international programmes and recommendations of sexual and reproductive health. Students are able to describe the Finnish sexual health services and are able to apply midwifery knowledge base on sexual and reproductive health promotion in Finland. Students are independently able to apply sexual and reproductive health promotion methods in different contexts. Students are able to describe and report different sexual and reproductive health promotion tasks in current development areas of people of different ages.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to utilize and apply the promotion of reproductive health-related legislation, national and international programs, and recommendations in midwifery. Students are able to plan, implement, and evaluate with guidance Finnish sexual and reproductive health services in various sexual and reproductive health promotion contexts. Students are able to apply and reason independently sexual and reproductive health promotion methods in different contexts. Students are able to make creative and innovative proposals for development / interventions to promote sexual and reproductive health of customers of different ages.
